JEORDIE WHITE
[16:21] Even this many months after its release, the greatness that is "Licker's Last Leg" continues to be recognized. Check out the latest here.
[06:38] The vinyl edition of "Licker's Last Leg", which I reported on a few weeks back, has now been scheduled for a February 25th European release. This release will feature new artwork and something many of you have been asking for: lyrics. Also, you can check out a couple of previously unseen Goon Moon promo pictures taken by photographer Nigel Copp at this location.
Only six more shopping days until Christmas. Don't forget to give the gift of music!
[15:11] Early last year Amen's official online store had made 3 tracks from Headband available for download in mp3 format. To those of you new to all of this, Headband was a brief side project dating back to 2002 which had Jeordie teaming up with QOTSA's Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri, and Amen's Casey Chaos and Shannon Larkin. Due to everyone's busy schedules, however, the project never quite got off the ground. At any rate, 8 more previously unreleased tracks have been made available for download -- apparently at no cost -- over at this location (scroll down). Have at it!
[21:16] More reviews are in - one of the San Francisco show from Leecho Magazine (scroll down the page a bit) and another of the San Diego show, including a few pictures, from amateurchemist. Check 'em out!
[06:10] Another review from San Francisco accompanied by some really great pictures can be found here.
[07:42] Check out a review, as well as a short video montage, of the San Francisco show here. Goon Moon wraps things up tonight in San Diego at the House of Blues Delta Room. Don't sit home staring at the TV, instead come on out for a night of great live music. Get your tickets here.
[08:26] Major props to Goon Moon for toughing out the long haul to Seattle to deliver an absolutely brilliant set last night at Chop Suey. Highlights included a rockin' version of "Sleep With A Gun", "An Autumn That Came Too Soon", "Posh Attitude", a reworked "Mashed Potatoes & Cream", and finally, for all the Manson fans out there, Goon Moon's own rendition of "The Dope Show". Four more shows to go, don't miss out! Be sure to bring your friends and spread the word!
[06:20] Assuming they navigate the 440 mile I-5 "detour" without ending up somewhere in Idaho, Goon Moon kick off their five city West Coast tour tonight in Seattle. Come on out and show 'em your support! All of your ticketing needs can be found here.
[21:44] Head over to Goon Moon's myspace to check out 5 new photos taken at rehearsal.
[16:06] Thanks to Northern California online publication Leecho Magazine for informing me that Licker's Last Leg has been named #4 on their Hot iPod List.
[11:01] Rehearsals have been ongoing for the last several weeks in LA as Goon Moon prepare to launch their first headlining tour which kicks off next week in Seattle. They have some special surprises planned for these shows, so make sure you don't miss out. If you don't already have your tickets, get them now by clicking here.
[19:39] Nothing definite yet, no details as to where and when, but for those of you asking for Goon Moon to come to your town, looks like they really mean to put forth their best effort to bring their live show to other places besides the U.S. West Coast sometime after the new year. Will keep you all posted as best as I can!
[18:06] There's even more new pictures to be seen over at Goon Moon's myspace page, as well as more songs that were added after surveying the fans for their requests.
[08:48] According to this webpage, a vinyl edition of "Licker's Last Leg" featuring new artwork and lyrics is slated for a European release on December 3rd. No word yet on a U.S. release.
[06:12] Added another new picture today, which has also been added to Goon Moon's myspace page. If you haven't been there in awhile, the page is sporting a nice new look these days. Be sure to check it out and add yourself to their friends list so you won't miss anything!
[07:04] Tickets for the San Diego show on December 11th at the House of Blues Delta Room go on sale this morning at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Click here to go directly to the ticketing page. Please note that this is a 21+ show.
[18:21] As of early this evening, tickets have now become available for the Seattle show on December 6th at this location. The show at the Troubadour on December 10th will go on sale next Tuesday, November 6th through Ticketmaster or, if you have access to a fax machine and want to bypass Ticketmaster's service charges, you can also order by fax. Information on how to fax in an order can be found here, as well as a link to the Troubadour's Ticketmaster page.
[09:29] Tickets are now on sale for Goon Moon's Portland, OR show on December 7th at this location. Tickets for the December 9th show in San Francisco will go on sale Sunday, November 4th at 10:00 a.m. at this location.
[01:35] Found this review of Friday night's show at the Echoplex, and though the writer mostly talks about UNKLE (not unexpected, since they were headlining), Goon Moon's debut performance does get a very favorable mention. There are also a few photos from the show here.
[14:10] pitchforkmedia.com reports today that starting next year, toymaker UNKL will issue on a monthly basis a series of limited edition figurines based on Ipecac Records' artist roster. A Goon Moon figurine, which features an image of the luna moth as seen on Goon Moon's myspace page, is scheduled to be available in June 2008. Go here to read the article and see the images.
[05:56] New interview with Chris Goss at this location, where he talks about his musical influences and early career, Masters of Reality, QOTSA and, of course, his work with Jeordie and Goon Moon. Also, check out this flyer for Saturday night's show in San Francisco. To everyone going to either or both shows this weekend, have a great time and feel free to send in your reviews and photos.
[06:24] Check out a couple of write ups on Goon Moon's LA appearance tomorrow night at LA Weekly and Los Angeles City Beat. With the volume of shows passing through the L.A. area on a daily basis, great to see Goon Moon getting special mention. Also, for those of you attending the shows, be sure to pick up a Goon Moon t-shirt before heading home.
[12:12] With their first ever live performances coming up this weekend, Goon Moon's myspace page has been updated with the names of the full touring lineup along with a little blog. Check it out.
[14:24] Ipecac Records' Calendar page has added a new date to Goon Moon's West Coast tour itinerary: December 11th at the House of Blues Delta Room in San Diego. Ticket info TBA.
[14:30] According to this website, Goon Moon will be appearing at Chop Suey in Seattle, WA on December 6th and Berbati's Pan in Portland, OR on December 7th. Advance tickets will be available through ticketswest, though at the moment it is not yet known when tickets will go on sale.
[18:01] Goon Moon have added two new dates to their myspace page: December 9th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and December 10th at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. No ticket info is available at this time, but as soon as I have that info I'll pass it along.
Further surfing of the internets has yielded this review of "Licker's Last Leg". Don't have this record yet? What are you waiting for?
OK, so, being in the mood to goof off at work this morning (well, more of a mood than usual), I took some time to do a random Google search under "Goon Moon" and "Jeordie White" to see what I could come up with in the way of cool stuff to keep everyone occupied during the down time while Jeordie re-acclimates himself to waking up in the same place every morning and eating normal food. Didn't come up with much that hasn't been brought up here already, except for this little interview Jeordie did with an online music magazine called The Inside Connection. A pretty decent read, though parts of it sound vaguely familiar. Hopefully, with two live shows already on the agenda, activity will soon pick up on the Goon Moon end of things.
Goon Moon is set to open for UNKLE a second time on October 27th in San Francisco at The Mezzanine. The Los Angeles show on October 26th has been confirmed as well.
Don't have official confirmation from Jeordie's/Goon Moon's end just yet, but according to www.unkle.com it appears that Goon Moon will be performing live for the very first time on October 26th, opening for UNKLE at their Los Angeles show at the Echoplex. UNKLE is currently on tour in support of their newest release, War Stories. Chris Goss co-produced the album with James Lavelle and Jeordie appears on the track "Burn My Shadow".
ultimate-guitar.com has released another piece of a videotaped interview they did with Jeordie several months ago. In this latest episode, he reminisces about auditioning for Metallica back in 2002. Go here to watch.
In between shows, trains, planes & automobiles, gourmet dining and fine wines, Jeordie somehow found time to post a new video/tune on his youtube page. Check it out here.
Here's two more Goon Moon interviews for you to check out - one with Jeordie and one with Chris.
Passing along a new review of UNKLE's War Stories that you can check out here and also wanted to let you know that there's 3 new photos available in the Fan gallery, courtesy of Rachel-Marie from Brisbane, Australia.
A little sooner than expected, the dudes at Buddyhead have posted their Goon Moon interview. Go directly to it by clicking here. A word of caution: you probably don't want to open this while your boss is looking over your shoulder. I'm just sayin'.
buddyhead.com will be posting what is sure to be an entertaining Goon Moon interview on their website in the next few days (or, more likely, whenever they get around to it). In the meantime, you can amuse yourself with the latest installment of their unique brand of gossip, photo and video oddities, etc. here. Lots of NIN/Jeordie references included therein.
Sharing with you another [great] review of Licker's Last Leg...
Still finding reviews of "Licker's Last Leg", even three months after the release. Check out the latest one from metalreview.com at this location.
The Fan gallery has been updated with a photo from Bern, courtesy of Valerio Pierbattista. Also, you can find a few shots from NIN's Prague show here.
Nine Inch Nails now has an official youtube page where you can view a clip of "Me I'm Not" along with a few other videos, including footage of the OSR meeting/secret show of a few months back. More clips from the current tour will be forthcoming. Also, since I am only archiving photos of Jeordie on this site, if you want to keep up with ALL of the daily changes going on over at nin.com's home page, including the wacky comments attached thereto, this is your best resource for doing so. Be sure to check it out to see what you've missed.
Jeordie is currently leading the nominees in the Best Bassist category of the Slammie Awards "15 Years of Rawk" special edition with 209 votes [30% of the total votes.] Thanks to everyone who's voted so far and for those who haven't yet done so, you can cast your vote here. We're on a roll, so let's keep it going!
As a part of a 15 year anniversary celebration, Slammie Productions announces the return of the South Florida Slammie Awards for a "15 Years of Rawk" special edition, honoring artists spanning the past 15 years of the South Florida scene. Along with such artists as Marilyn Manson and Saigon Kick, an integral part of this scene was Jeordie's former band Amboogalard who, over the course of their career, took home a total of 10 Slammies. In 1992, Jeordie walked away with the award for best rhythm guitarist. Voting for this year's special awards is underway now at this location, with Amboogalard nominated in several categories and Jeordie nominated in the Best Bassist category. Head on over and cast your votes now! While you're there, be sure to have a look around the site for a history of the awards along with old video footage and photos from past awards ceremonies. More stuff is to be added to the site over the coming months.
Rock Sound magazine has given Licker's Last Leg a rating of 8 out of 10 and you can read their review here.
"Tip Toe" is the newest audio addition to Goon Moon's myspace page. Don't think that was there before.
If you haven't been to Goon Moon's myspace lately, "Sleep With A Gun" is now available for free download. This is good news for those of you with technical difficulties and/or outside of the U.S. who have been unable to purchase the songs through SNOCAP. "Pin Eyed Boy" from "Licker's Last Leg" has been added as well.
Be sure to keep an eye on the new NIN official website for daily (and sometimes more frequent) pictorial updates from the band's current tour. At time of this posting, there is a photo of Jeordie with a few fans in Moscow's Red Square. These photos are not being archived at nin.com, although I will set up something here where any photos of Jeordie can be viewed should you happen to miss one -- provided, of course, I don't miss one myself. Your best bet is to just keep checking nin.com as frequently as you can.
If you're in the vicinity of Munich, Germany, you can catch Jeordie with NIN on at a newly added tour stop on September 3rd at Circus Krone. Check locally for ticket info.
Just a reminder that UNKLE's War Stories hits record stores in the U.S. next Tuesday, July 24th. Recorded in Joshua Tree and London, the album features Jeordie on bass and synth on the single "Burn My Shadow" along with appearances throughout the album by Chris Goss (who co-produced with James Lavelle), Josh Homme, Dave Catching, Ian Astbury, The Duke Spirit and Autolux. You can check out a couple of reviews of the record here and here. UNKLE is currently on tour in Europe and appear to be playing some of the same festivals as NIN. Be sure to check them out if you are attending any of these. They are expected to tour the U.S. sometime in the Fall.
Speaking of touring, NIN have scheduled a September 18th stop in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Blaisdell Arena. Tickets go on sale August 4th.
Check out the latest review of "Licker's Last Leg" over at ign.com.
NIN's upcoming Sydney show, scheduled for September 16th, has been moved from Big Top Luna Park to the larger Hordern Pavillion. Additional tickets will go on sale on July 12th at 9:00 a.m. If you are already holding tickets for this performance, those tickets will be honored at the new venue.
Jeordie was a recent guest on the Camp Freddy radio program which is broadcast via Indie 103.1 on Saturday nights. You can listen to the full interview here, where it sounds like a Goon Moon tour is in the initial planning stages.
The non-working video clips that were a part of the ultimate-guitar.com interview I posted the other day have turned up in fine working order and can be viewed over at Artisan News Service's youtube page.
Finally, looks like there's a few new pictures for you to check out over at Goon Moon's myspace. Also, for those who are not familiar with Goon Moon's 2005 EP, "I Got A Brand New Egg Layin' Machine", you can now listen to one of the tracks from that record, "Apartment 31", on their myspace page as well.
You can check out another little write up on UNKLE's forthcoming release at soundgenerator.com. Also, the Biography page has been revamped and updated a bit and also includes a link to a more detailed biography on Goon Moon. Head on over and have a look.
New date added to the nin.com performance page: 9.9.07 Beijing, China [Beijing Pop Festival]. No ticket info available at this time.
I know there are a few of you who are still having a problem being able to purchase the songs on the Goon Moon page. I was able to dig up contact info for SNOCAP (the entity through which the songs are being sold) and did send them an email a few days ago regarding the problems. I still have nor received a response and, since I was only able to describe the issue in very general terms, perhaps it would be more helpful if you contacted them yourselves with details specific to your particular situation. Contact them at support@snocap.com. Be as specific as you can (i.e. operating system, browser you are using, etc.) and hopefully they will be able to point you in the right direction.
ultimate-guitar.com has just added another blurb with Jeordie in which he talks about his longtime friendship with Trent Reznor. Though it doesn't really say anything all that new and the video doesn't seem to work, you can check it out here if you're interested. And since Jeordie helped out with it, I also wanted to pass on this review of UNKLE's single "Burn My Shadow" from their upcoming release "War Stories", available now in the UK, Europe and Australia and set for a 7.24.07 U.S. release.
The newest tunes available for purchase over at Goon Moon's myspace are "Delete" and a demo version of "My Machine". Both can be had for the price of $.99 each.
Just a reminder that the new UNKLE album, "War Stories" is available today throughout the UK, Europe and Australia. It is available in five different formats: standard CD, limited edition CD, indie retail edition CD, 12" vinyl and digitally, with each release having a slightly different track list. As most of you probably know by now, "War Stories" was produced by Chris Goss and Jeordie plays on the track "Burn My Shadow", which also features The Cult's Ian Astbury on vocals. The record will be released in the U.S. on 7.24.07.
To purchase online, go to the following locations:
North America
UK/Rest of the World
Another brand new, previously unheard track is available for purchase at Goon Moon's myspace page. This one's an instrumental called "Colour". Head on over to the page for a 30 second clip of the song. By the way, if you are having trouble viewing the box where the tracks can be purchased, chances are you are getting an old version of the page. Clear your cookies/temporary internet files and try viewing the page again. A hard refresh (Ctrl F5) may also do the trick. AOL (at least the dial up version) also seems a bit problematic as far as viewing the box. Try using a different browser and/or switch to a computer that has a high speed connection. If you still encounter problems, feel free to email me with the details. FYI, this is the box as displayed correctly on the Goon Moon myspace page.
Apparently determined to cover every part of the globe on their next run, NIN have added a show at the Fair, Trade & Convention Center in Tel Aviv, Israel on 9.5.07. Ticketing info is not available at this time. The NIN Hotline has also uncovered a 9.13.07 date in Hong Kong at the Asia World Expo. Tickets for this one go on sale 7.12.07 at www.hkticketing.com.
I just want to encourage those of you who haven't already done so to be sure to sign up on Goon Moon's myspace page in order to receive exclusive bulletins updating you with all the latest news and happenings. To do so, simply go to the left hand side of the page and add them as a friend. And to clarify for those of you already signed up who have received responses from Jeordie -- yes, it really is him.
"Gateway" has now been made available for purchase for $.75 at Goon Moon's myspace page.
A brand new unreleased Goon Moon track -- i.e., one that hasn't been heard on Jeordie's youtube page -- can be previewed and purchased for $2.00 at Goon Moon's myspace. The song is entitled "I Know Where You Live." Keep checking the page for more possible additions in the coming days and weeks.
"This Song Don't Belong", one of the unreleased Goon Moon tracks recently showcased on Jeordie's youtube page, has also just been made available for purchase at Goon Moon's official myspace page.
Just in time for Jeordie's birthday, you can now buy "Sleep With A Gun" for $1.00 over at Goon Moon's official myspace page. I know a lot of you have been waiting for this opportunity, so head on over there now!
Nine Inch Nails have been added to the roster of artists appearing at Holland's Lowlands Festival on 8.19.07. Tickets are already on sale for this one. Also just added is a show at Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea on 9.11.07. Ticket information for this show is not yet available.
Cincinnati entertainment weekly City Beat offers up their review of "Licker's Last Leg" which is viewable online by clicking here.
Another thumbs up for "Licker's Last Leg" from livedaily.com.
The reviews for "Licker's Last Leg" are still coming in, the latest being this one from the Orlando Weekly.
As most of you probably know, Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme is among several guest artists on "Licker's Last Leg". Homme was also instrumental in the formation of Goon Moon, as it was he who introduced Jeordie and Chris Goss shortly after Jeordie's departure from Marilyn Manson in 2002 (a full Goon Moon bio will be added to the site shortly). In a new interview with the Bay Area's KTVU.com to promote QOTSA's upcoming release, "Era Vulgaris", Homme was also asked a few questions about Goon Moon. You can read the entire interview here.
There's a new video clip up over at rock.com, where Jeordie explains [again] his departure from Marilyn Manson. Clicky here to watch it. You'll have to sit through an ad for Chase Bank's credit card first (doesn't seem to be a way around it). If for some reason this link goes bad or doesn't take you directly to Jeordie's interview, go to the main site and click on the "Music News" tab. Once you get through that pesky little Chase Bank ad, type in "twiggy ramirez" or "jeordie white" in the search engine and it should take you there.
Head over to Goon Moon's myspace and check out the newly added photos and a new track from "Licker's Last Leg" ("Lay Down").
A video featuring another great unreleased Goon Moon track called "This Song Don't Belong" is the newest addition to Jeordie's youtube page. Go directly to it by clicking this link.
Found another review of "Licker's Last Leg" which can be read here.
Another review of "Licker's Last Leg" can be read at soundthesirens.com, the track "Apple Pie" has been added to the Goon Moon myspace page and a new photo of Jeordie has been added to nin.com's current page. Also, the video for "Burn My Shadow", the track on UNKLE's upcoming album on which Jeordie contributes, is available for viewing here. "War Stories" is currently set for a 7.24.07 release in the U.S.
Finally, let's try to get more exposure for "Licker's Last Leg" via some well-deserved radio airplay. If there is a radio station in your area whose playlist isn't solely dictated by what the major labels feed them, give them a call or shoot them an email and ask that they add "Licker's Last Leg". More likely targets would be college and indie stations, but sometimes the more commercially-oriented stations have specific programs where they do showcase indie acts and other music outside the mainstream. Find out what's in your neck of the woods. If you are in Southern California, you can hit up Indie 103.1 or KCRW 89.9.
You can read a new interview with Jeordie in today's Great Falls Tribune, where he compares his time in Manson to where he is now. I've also added a review of one of NIN's recent shows in Melbourne, as written up by "stacey84".
Check out another review of "Licker's Last Leg" here (you'll have to scroll down a bit to the 5.8.07 entry). Also, according to this article at www.southern.net, the CD will be available throughout Europe on 5.21.07. It can be ordered via their webshop. Thanks to Thomas at www.mastersofreality.de for passing along the information.
Check out another review of "Licker's Last Leg" at allmusic.com. Also, there is more youtube goodness to be had over at Jeordie's page.
Just wanted to let everyone know that "Licker's Last Leg" is now available on iTunes. For those of you having trouble finding it in-store, or who don't feel like waiting on shipping from amazon.com, et al., this is another option for you. Also, be sure to check out another great review of the record at this location.
For those who don't already know, NIN have been forced to postpone the May 10th and 11th shows at Luna Park in Sydney. These shows have now been rescheduled for September 15th and 16th, respectively. Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored at the rescheduled ones. For those who are unable to attend, refunds are available at the point of purchase.
The band did, however, play Sydney as scheduled on May 9th and some photos from said show can be found here.
Got a potpourri of stuff to share this morning...
First, Jeordie has added "Feel Like This" to his youtube page and the track "Balloon" has been added to Goon Moon's myspace page. A new review of the record can be found at dreamlogic.net.
Next up, I've heard some reports of the album not being readily available in-store (low on stock or not stocked at all), so I wanted to provide a couple of more links to where it can be purchased on line. Check out circuitcity.com, fye.com, and barnesandnoble.com. It will also be available soon on iTunes. If you are in Germany, it will be available starting May 18th on amazon.de.
Finally, if you haven't been to nin.com in the last 24 hours, a bunch of new dates have been added to NIN's summer Euro tour as follows:
8.1.07 Moscow, Russia [Luzhniki Arena]
8.3.07 St. Petersburg, Russia [Jubeleyny Arena]
8.5.07 Helsinki, Finland [Ankkarock Festival]
8.11.07 Budapest, Hungary [Sziget Festival]
8.18.07 Hasselt, Belgium [Pukkelpop Festival]
Tickets are on sale now for all but the Moscow/St. Petersburg gigs, both of which go on sale 5.19.07.
Lots of stuff going on the last couple of days, so keep checking back for updates...
The long wait is finally over! Today marks the worldwide release of "Licker's Last Leg", so head out to your nearest purveyor of music and indulge in all that is Goon Moon. Bring some friends. And if you like what you hear, help spread the love by sharing your thoughts on the album on various music/media pages (iTunes, etc.) across cyberspace. I've also set up a thread on the message board for you to do the same. If you are having trouble finding the record locally, you can also order it online at bestbuy.com and amazon.com.
Regarding UNKLE's "War Stories", the only info I have thus far on Jeordie's contribution is that he plays bass on the track "Burn My Shadow", which also features the Cult's Ian Astbury on vocals. Also, although the U.S. will see a release date of July 24th, the album will drop earlier in the UK, Europe and Australia on July 9th and in Japan on June 20th.
I'd also like to take a moment to thank all of you who participated in the recent Q&A and of course, a big thanks to Jeordie for taking out time to respond during his short break from NIN touring duties.
UNKLE's "War Stories", on which Jeordie is one of several guest artists, will see a July 24th release date in North America. More information on the record can be read in today's edition of billboard.com.
Jeordie has added another video/unreleased Goon Moon track to the youtube page. Go directly to it by clicking here. Two days and counting until the release of "Licker's Last Leg"...
Jeordie has responded to more of your questions over at the Q&A section. The Q&A is currently not taking any new questions, but keep checking back. This may or may not change after Jeordie is done responding to the enormous amount of questions that came in this past week. Keep in mind that NIN is heading back out on tour for a few weeks, and that could affect any decisions regarding the status of the Q&A.
"Built In A Bottle", the final track on "Licker's Last Leg", is the newest addition over at Jeordie's youtube page.
Jeordie's latest responses to your questions are up on the Q&A page and, as promised, Goon Moon's myspace has been updated with some new tunage and new pictures.
Jeordie talks more about Goon Moon in a new video interview posted at www.ultimate-guitar.com. Also, look for more updates on the Goon Moon myspace page very shortly.
Another round of responses can be viewed at the Q&A page.
The first round of responses to your questions is now available for your reading pleasure here. More answers will be added, so keep checking back. And keep the questions coming in while the opportunity is still open!
OK, everybody -- great news!! If you've ever wanted to ask Jeordie a question, here is your chance. Jeordie will be taking time out to answer questions from fans over the next couple of weeks via this website and a special page will be set up where I will publish the responses on an ongoing basis. Please send all of your questions to me at basetendencies.com. I will submit the questions to him and from those he will choose which ones to answer. Start sending them in now and hopefully we'll have something up in the next couple of days. Good luck everyone!
Goon Moon's myspace page has been updated with a full track from "Licker's Last Leg". Head on over there and feast your ears.
A new video uploaded this afternoon to the youtube page features a full original, unreleased track from Jeordie's own music called "Sleep With A Gun". Check it out here. Also just added is an unreleased Goon Moon track "from the desert vaults" called "Gateway" that you can check out here. Good stuff!
If you haven't been there yet today, a couple of new videos are up on the youtube page. Check this page frequently; new additions are coming in fast and furious. For those who might be curious, most of the trippy tunes you're hearing with these videos are all outtakes from old demos and such. The footage itself is a montage of old home movies and other miscellany.
A new review of "Licker's Last Leg" can be read at zeromag.com and a little blurb regarding the 2005 EP "I've Got A Brand New Egg Layin' Machine" has turned up on UK musician/writer Julian Cope's website, headheritage.co.uk. Click here to read it.
Two more Goon Moon visuals were born overnight and you can check them out www.youtube.com/jeordie. You will want to bookmark the page, as well as keep an eye on the Goon Moon myspace page. Updates will be posted here as well. With the release of "Licker's Last Leg" almost upon us, lotsa cool shit's gonna be going off. Just 17 more days, kids. Tell your friends. Spread the word.
Meanwhile, activity continues on the NIN front with more dates added to their summer European trek: 8.12.07 at Incheba Hall in Bratislava, Slovakia and 8.13.07 at Slavia Zimni Sdion in Prague, Czech Republic. Tickets for both go on sale 5.3.07. Also, edited footage from Wednesday night's event, which appears to show some stuff from a different angle, is now up at opensourceresistance.com.
In celebration of 420, Goon Moon offers up more trippy shit for you. Check out this and then check out that.
Complete footage from the event which took place in LA a couple of hours ago is now available at www.opensourceresistance.com. Go. Now.
If you're currently crying in your beer because you're not one of the chosen ones who get to participate in the NIN/ARG/AIR/OSR covert goings on taking place in LA on this unseasonably cold and windy night, here's a little Goon Moon love to help you ease roughly four minutes worth of pain. Enjoy! And don't forget, "Licker's Last Leg" hits record stores in slightly less than 3 weeks on 5.8.07.

The 5.1.07 issue of Rock Sound magazine features a pullout section on Nine Inch Nails which includes a review of their recent Glasgow gig, an interview with Trent Reznor and a few thoughts from each band member on being a part of NIN. Jeordie had this to say:
On Nine Inch Nails versus Marilyn Manson: "Nine Inch Nails is actually work - it's fun but it's challenging. With Marilyn Manson I was just on autopilot doing what I do and people watched me. With this I have to live up to certain expectations that aren't mine. Any artist demands a certain perfection and working with anyone's challenging. But Trent's probably a better role model. He's a better boss to have, if you want to call him that."
On the highlights of being in Nine Inch Nails: "Anytime I start to get bored in this band Trent always pulls out something different that's neat to be involved in. It never ceases to amaze me, all the stuff he does that's outside the music. This album especially has got a whole other life to it, which is really fun. Obviously the music impresses me, but it's also all the other stuff, like Trent going to places with music and performance that no one's gone to before."
This issue is available for purchase at newsstands now.

All tickets for tonight's show will be honored for the makeup date. Refunds will be issued most likely at point of purchase.

Check out Goon Moon's newly launched myspace page at www.myspace.com/goonmoon. Be sure to keep checking back frequently as the page will continue to evolve as we await the release of "Lickers Last Leg" this Spring. While this page is officially sanctioned by the band, be aware that it is fan-run and the band members will not be interacting with fans via this page, nor will messages be responded to. I'm just sayin'....just so you know.
And yes, it appears likely that the March release date might be pushed back to April or possibly May. More info will be posted as it becomes available.
"Lickers Last Leg" will be the title of Goon Moon's upcoming full length album. Twelve songs and 5 years in the making, it can only be described as a collage of hippie/goth/retro sounds, covering a period from the 70's through the early 00's. Ipecac label head Mike Patton stands firmly behind this record and reportedly "loves it". More info will be forthcoming soon regarding the record's Spring 2007 release date and other details.
